BCLT Summer School

While I happened to be on vacation in Edinburgh at the time, the 2022 BCLT Summer School actually took place online. This was a full week chock-full of lectures, workshops, discussions, and most importantly, incredibly kind and knowledgeable people. I enjoyed straddling five different time zones with my cohort as we worked with translator extraordinaire Asa Yoneda to translate a short story by author Yusho Takiguchi. We had the opportunity to ask Takiguchi-san questions live over Zoom (and watch him hold up his adorable baby to the camera!).
